Services will be at Biondi's Funeral home from 4-8pm on Wednesday
April 9th.  The Elks Memorial Service will be at 7PM performed by our

Joseph L. Pepe
    Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, 85

Mr.  Joseph L. Pepe, 85, of Nutley, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014
at Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge.  The funeral will be conducted
from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Thursday,
April 10, at 8:30 a.m.  There will be a funeral mass celebrated at Holy
Family Church , Nutley at 9:30 a.m. The entombment will be in Glendale
Chapel Mausoleum , Bloomfield with Military Honors.  Visitation will be
on Wednesday, April 9 from 4:00 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Pepe was born in Newark and resided in Nutley for over 40 years.  He
earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1979 from Fairleigh Dickerson University,
Teaneck.  Mr. Pepe served honorably in the Army during the Korean War.
Early in his career he was a Newark Police Officer and later served as
Deputy Chief for the Essex County Prosecutors Office.  His career
spanned 35 years in law enforcement before retiring.

He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks where he held
many positions over the years on the Local, District and State Levels
which included serving as Exhalted Ruler and State President from
1989-1990.  Mr. Pepe was also a member of the Nutley Old Guard and a
former member of Nutley Unico.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Nancy (nee
Calabrese) Pepe; his devoted children Joanne Pepe and Nicholas Pepe and
his wife Debbie; and his loving sister and brother, Margaret Pfeiffer
and Alfred Pepe.  He was a dedicated grandfather to Kristin, Brian,
Nicholas, Christopher, Brendan and Devin.  He is also survived by his
many loving nieces and nephews.

Joe had many friends at the Elks and in town.  If you know of anyone
that may no longer be in touch with us, please let them know.  Thanks

Our Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the Month 8:00pm

Except for November, only 2nd Thursday, July and August only 4th Thursday
